Tell Rachel about your business

Write a short description of your shop so Rachel can introduce it properly.

In Salescom: Rachel > Profile

Rachel answers better when it knows who you are. When you sign up, your shop name and what you sell are saved here and published for you. Come back to add more.

  1. Open Rachel in the sidebar and go to the Profile tab.
  2. Add your business name.
  3. In About your business, write a few lines: what you sell, who your customers are, and where you are.
  4. If customers can visit you, fill in Shop location (optional): your address, a map link and a short "how to find us" video.
  5. In Opening hours (optional), tick the days you're open and set the times and your timezone.
  6. Your changes save on their own as a draft. Press Publish changes when you're happy.

What to write

Keep it plain, as if you were telling a new salesperson about the shop. For example: "We sell new and UK-used phones and laptops from our shop in Accra. Most customers are students and young professionals. We deliver across Ghana."

Prices, stock and product details don't go here. Rachel reads those from your Catalog. Policies like delivery and returns go in FAQs.

Shop location

Fill this in only if customers can come to you. If you sell online only, leave it empty, and Rachel won't give an address.

  • Location: how you'd describe the way to a customer, for example "East Legon, opposite the A&C Mall".
  • Map link: copy the share link from Google Maps.
  • How to find us video: a short MP4 clip of the way to your shop, up to 16 MB (about a minute of phone video).

When a customer asks where you are or how to get to you, Rachel replies with the address and map link, sends the video once per chat, and asks when they plan to come by. The video plays on WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, Telegram and your website chat. Email gets it as an attachment, and SMS gets the text only.

If nothing is saved here and your FAQs don't say where you are, Rachel tells the customer it's finding out and passes the chat to your team.

Opening hours

Tick each day you're open and set the opening and closing times, then pick your timezone. Rachel uses them to answer "are you open today?" or "what time do you close on Saturday?", and works out whether you're open right now from the current time. When a customer says which day they'll come, Rachel asks roughly what time and points out if you're closed that day.

Leave every day unticked if you don't keep set hours, for example if you only sell online.
