Connect SMS, Telegram, Line and API
Bring text messages, Telegram and Line chats into the same inbox.
In Salescom: Inboxes > Add inbox
All of these start the same way: go to Inboxes in the sidebar, press Add inbox and pick the channel. When you're done, choose which team members can see the inbox.
SMS
Connect a number from Twilio or Bandwidth. You'll need your account details from that provider.
Telegram
- In Telegram, open a chat with @BotFather and send
/newbot. - Pick a name and a username for your bot. BotFather replies with a bot token.
- In Salescom, pick Telegram, paste the token in Bot Token and press Create Telegram Channel.
Customers message your bot to reach you. Send it a test message and it shows up in Conversations.
Line
- In the LINE Developers Console, create a provider if you don't have one, then create a Messaging API channel.
- From that channel, copy the Channel ID, Channel secret and Channel access token.
- In Salescom, pick Line, enter the name and the three values, and press Create LINE Channel.
- Open the new inbox and go to Configuration. Copy the webhook URL shown there.
- Back in the LINE console, under Messaging API, paste it as the webhook URL, turn Use webhook on and press Verify.
- Turn off LINE's own auto-reply messages, so customers don't get two answers.
API
For developers who want to send chats from their own system into Salescom. Salescom gives the inbox an identifier, and messages go in and out through the Salescom API. You can also add a webhook URL so your system hears about new messages.
